Introduction

Hey! My name is Peter Washington. I am currently a sophomore Computer Science major at Rice University. One of the things that fascinates me the most about CS in general is the wide range of applications that it can be applied to. As a musician, I find the applications to music to be the most fascinating. The continuous surge of new technologies means that there are always new ways to apply technology to music. It is very exciting!

The primary purpose of this blog will be for me to share any cool things I come across as far as music and technology are concerned. I will talk about and review things such as digital audio products, electronic musicians, electronic composers, sound programming libraries, and any other related interesting thing that I feel the need to talk about.

A little bit about my musical experience - I have played classical violin since I was five, although I have recently been exploring rock/blues fiddle playing. I also play guitar and have been in a few rock bands back in high school. My most recent musical interests have been in music production and electronic music. I love recording music and producing electronic music, whether for myself or for others. I have recently been embarking in a rap project with the stage name X-Rated. More on that later.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this blog, and I will try my best to post regularly. Together, we will go on an amazing journey through the digital sonic world and discover great, trippy, hip new things!
